Free Courses from Progress Through Learning Midlothian

Progress through Learning Midlothian aims to help and support adults to access and experience college or university study and to raise awareness of appropriate routes, learning opportunities, study support, and funding available to achieve this.

A range of courses is delivered locally from very accessible and introductory to university level.

Progress through Learning Midlothian offers free courses in a number of subjects. Recent courses have included:

  • Family Matters
  • Progress through Learning Drop in Sessions
  • Health in your Community
  • Introducing Scottish Social History
  • Health Issues in the Community
  • Introducing Sociology and Learning Strategies.

Designed to be supportive, interesting, challenging, informative and enjoyable these courses are delivered and developed by staff from community learning and development, colleges and universities to allow Midlothian residents the chance to take the first step back into learning or to progress on to the next.

With some courses offering credit you have the opportunity to build the skills, experience confidence and qualifications - perhaps even in preparation for university.
