Communal bins
If you live in a flat that does not have space for individual wheeled bins then communal bin(s) are provided for the collection of your household waste.
These provide the correct capacity for each individual household and are collected fortnightly.
Recycling bins
To allow residents in flats to recycle their waste, communal recycling bins have been installed in many areas.
Use your red lidded bin to recycle glass bottles and jars ONLY
Use your blue bin to recycle paper, card, plastic bottles, tins and cans, cartons, foil, plastic pots, tubs, punnets and trays and aerosol cans.
Helping you recycle more
From 1 October 2012, we have made improvements to your recycling collection service. In many areas you have been provided with an individual blue wheeled bin for the collection of your recycling. You can continue to recycle glass bottles and jars in your red lidded communal recycling bin.
