Temporary accommodation

What if the temporary accommodation is not suitable?

If you are offered temporary accommodation that you don't think is suitable, you can turn it down, but think carefully and get advice before you do. If you refuse temporary accommodation that the council thinks is suitable for you, it may not have to give you any more. You may appeal against this decision if you feel it is unreasonable

Do I have to stay there?

You have to stay there while the council continues to make inquiries into your situation. If your situation changes and you have to move out before the council finishes its inquiries, you should be provided with somewhere to stay.
