Pest control

We provide a pest control service to all premises within Midlothian to control or eradicate a wide range of pests.

This service is chargeable and the current cost for each type of pest is listed below. 

If you are being affected by pests other than those listed please contact the Public Health Section for advice.

Pests treated

The range of pest infestations treated includes:

• Cockroaches
• Fleas
• Mites
• Mice
• Bedbugs
• Rats
• Wasps
• Bees
• most types of beetles

Pests not treated

Whilst the following pests are not treated, help and advice relating to these pests can be obtained from the Public Health Team:

• Bats
• Gulls
• Pigeons
• Squirrels
• Foxes
• Rabbits
• Moles

Charges

Initial treatment for all pests is £35.40.
Follow up treatments per visit are £6.30 (up to a maximum total cost of £60.00) for rats and mice.
