Severe weather parking restrictions
Introduction of Winter Parking Restrictions
New temporary traffic restrictions will mean vehicles will not be able to park on various streets around Midlothian during heavy snow.
The parking restrictions will be in place from 1 November 2011 after parked cars disrupted some essential bus services during last year's severe winter weather.
"No parking" cones will be placed along specific lengths on the streets listed below but only when prolonged and heavy snow is forecast.
Police will have powers to remove vehicles parked on the coned areas.
