Midlothian Local Development Plan - Consultation on the Main Issues Report

The Midlothian Local Development Plan (MLDP) will allocate land for housing, employment and other uses, and contain policy which will be used to assess planning applications.  It will replace the currently adopted Midlothian Local Plan (2008).

Before preparing the MLDP, we have first prepared a Main Issues Report (MIR).

You can view and make comments on this by visiting our Development Plan Consultation Portal:

This is a consultation document looking at the issues to be covered in the MLDP.

Comments received now will help in the preparation of the MLDP, which will guide development until 2024.

If you have an interest in how Midlothian develops and changes let us know your views.

The consultation runs until the 31 August 2013.
