Snowboarding

A snowboarder at Hillend

Snowboarding is a great way to experience the outdoors, build confidence and keep fit - not to mention great fun!

Practice snowboarding

To buy a practice ticket1, you must be able to board competently and use the chairlift and tows. If you can't we'd be happy to give you a lesson to teach you how.

Lessons

We offer a range of snowboard lessons for all ages2, from beginner to advanced, including race training and freestyle.

There are various options for learning or developing your skills. Start with a one-off open lesson, or if you want to progress more quickly, enrol in an adult or junior board school. Or perhaps benefit from your instructor's undivided attention in a private lesson tailored to your needs.

Each course is split into manageable skills and allows you plenty of practice to cement your knowledge before undertaking the next stage.

There's no need to worry about equipment as we supply it all, even down to poles and helmets.

1 Riders using their own boards need to have a leash - if you don't have one, you can buy one here, or hire one of our boards.

2Minimum age for boarding is eight. Children of six and seven may be accepted for private lessons, please call for more info.
