Adult Ski School
Four-week lesson blocks allow you to build your confidence and skills from week to week and fit in any extra practice between sessions.
Each two hour class runs on the same day and time each week.
Standards
Please refer to the information below when determining which level is most suitable for you.
Beginner
Applicants should be complete beginners or have completed one beginner open class. This class is not suitable for skiers with more experience than specified above.
Plough Parallel
Applicants should be able to execute controlled snowplough turns from the Middle Station.
Basic Parallel
Applicants should be able to execute plough parallel turns (used to be known as a basic swing), side slipping and swing to the hill.
Parallel
Applicants should be able to execute basic parallel turns (with or without a small hop).
Advanced
Applicants should be able to execute good parallel turns with a pole plant. The course will cover short swings, step turns and skiing through slalom poles. There will be an emphasis on skiing on the steep section of the slope.
