Summer reading challenge

Every summer Midlothian Library Service takes part in the Summer Reading Challenge.

Children between 4 and 12 years old will receive a special collector's pack when they join,with stickers to collect as they read their way through the Challenge, and a medal and certificate when they complete it.

Each year there is a different theme, and a specially-designed website with book-related games, puzzles and author blogs.

There's also a further challenge for teenage readers aged 11 and over in P7 to S2, with those who complete the challenge having their names entered into a prize draw.

Look out for the Story Lab website in June - it's not yet available but will have quizzes, games and author blogs.
