Calibration Service

We possess the local standards of weight and volume for the wider Edinburgh area. So we can calibrate and certify weights and e.g. fuel cans to a standard equivalent to the same equipment used by us, Inspectors of Weights and Measures. We can also calibrate but not repair or sell scales.

We can offer advice on the application of the Weights & Measures Act and Regulations to your business.

Within Midlothian, we advise on the average quantity system to packers including brewers, bakeries, meat and other food packers.

During pub inspections, we offer all bar staff an opportunity to check they don't give short measure when hand pouring.
