Investing in Midlothian Schools
Midlothian Council has built 14 new schools and refurbished two others at a total cost of more than £100million, since 2003. A further £55.8million has been committed to delivering new schools in Midlothian.
A new £37.1million Lasswade Community Campus is currently being developed including a community hub and high school.
Capital funding has been agreed for two further primary schools schools in Bilston and Gorebridge North.

- Due late 2013 a new £37.1million hub and high school for Lasswade.
- Due late 2012 a new £5.9million, replacement primary school for Hopefield.
