Housing options guide
Midlothian housing options guide updated Jan 2012
The Housing Options guide can assist customers, applicants, Midlothian Council staff and others to access up to date information on housing options in Midlothian.
The Housing Options Guide is designed to help you find out about the many housing options available in the Midlothian area. The guide has been split into clear sections that can be downloaded or looked at on screen, and the links provide more information on the options available.
Different personal circumstances need different solutions therefore we aim to give you information about a variety of different accommodation options available. You can either look through the whole booklet if you are unsure of which option best suits your current circumstances or go directly to the particular option which you are interested in by clicking on the chosen section in the contents page.
If you require more detailed information on any of these options there are many websites and links in the document. You can also contact other housing providers directly or contact your local Housing Office who may be able to give you further information and advice.
Please note that when you move into a rented property, your landlord should ask you to sign a tenancy agreement outlining the terms of your stay. This will usually be a written document, but it can also be a verbal agreement. If you don't have a written agreement, you still have rights as a tenant.
