Midlothian Snowsports Centre is hosting the British Universities Dryslope Championships (BUDS) on 11 and 12 November 2011.
Over 2000 student snowsports enthusiast and spectators are expected at the slopes as part of the national event. Events include: Wasteland slalom and GS, Sno!zone dual slalom, Liberty and Rome Big Air, SnowSkool Boarder X, Syndicate Slopestyle and the Freeze Pro Shop Big Air Pro-Am.
Councillor Wilma Chalmers, Midlothian Council cabinet member with responsibility for sport and leisure, said: "Following the highly successful Scottish Universities Championships at Midlothian Snowsports Centre last weekend we're delighted to host the British Universities Championships. After last year's highly successful event we're welcoming back student skiers and snowboarders competing at such a high level. It's set to be another spectacular event."
