Midlothian Libraries are reminding residents about their one-off, week-long library fines amnesty, which runs from this Saturday 4 February until Saturday 11 February.
People who return their overdue items between Saturday 4 February and Saturday 11 February will not have to pay a fine, and will have any accrued fines wiped clean.
The fines amnesty is part of our Love your Library Day celebrations on Saturday 4 February. A huge range of activities and events have been organised, with all nine of Midlothian's libraries taking part.
The fines amnesty is a one-off opportunity. It applies to all overdue items, regardless of how long the item has been overdue. From 13 February all items returned late will continue to accrue fines at the usual rate.
