Midlothian residents wanting to learn more about their family history are being encouraged to sign up for a course at Loanhead Library.
An initial information and taster session about the course will be held at Loanhead Library on Saturday 11 February from 11am to 12 noon. Jared Squirrell, an experienced family history researcher, will be along on the day to introduce the course and answer any questions.
The course will start in mid-February and has been organised as part of a joint initiative between Midlothian Council's Library Service and genealogy experts Family History Detectives.
