Josh Lewsey and Richard Stannard visit Dalkeith High School for Sport Relief

Dalkeith High School welcomed some very special celebrity guests on Friday morning (16 March) for a fundraising event in support of Sport Relief 2012.

Rugby superstar Josh Lewsey (who was part of England's 2003 World Cup winning squad) visited the school alongside famous World Aquathlon Champion Richard Stannard for the special "Let's Dance for Sport Relief" event.

Josh and Richard are both members of Sport Relief Team England, who are competing with teams from Scotland, Ireland and Wales on a gruelling 1164 mile race around the UK and Ireland to raise funds for Sport Relief.

The pair had a very early start, and arrived at the school shortly after 9am, having run and cycled into Dalkeith from Edinburgh Castle.

Mr Colin Gerrie, Head Teacher at Dalkeith High School, said: "On behalf of the whole school community, I would like to express my thanks to Josh and Richard for taking time out of their busy race schedule to support our Sport Relief fundraising efforts here at Dalkeith High. We were delighted that both Richard and Josh joined us for our special Let's Dance event, which launched our school-wide fundraising effort for Sport Relief."
