People are heading to the polls in Midlothian to vote in the local government elections.
Polling stations opened at 7am this morning and will remain open until 10pm.
Details of your local polling station will be on your polling card or are listed on the polling stations page:
Voters are reminded to bring their polling card as it can help speed things up. But not to worry if you don't have it as you can still vote without it.
There's a page of tips on the council website including what people need to bring and how the voting system works.
Remember that this year you vote using numbers instead of using an X. Just put a 1 next to your first choice, a 2 next to your second choice, a 3 next to your third choice and so on. You can choose how many candidates to number from one, to as many as you would like.
