The Midlothian annual Schools’ Art Exhibition will take place at the Power House, Scottish Mining Museum in Newtongrange from Wednesday 6 to Sunday 10 June.

Entrance is free and everybody is welcome. The exhibition will be open to the public from 10am to 5pm each day, including Sunday.

This year's exhibition will showcase the artistic talents of students from Midlothian primary schools. The exhibition will feature a wide range of art, including painting, design and sculpture.

Colin Taylor, our Head of Education, said: "I am really impressed by the quality of artwork produced by our primary school pupils for this year's exhibition. I encourage everyone to go along to the Mining Museum to see the creative abilities of our primary students for themselves."

The Schools' Art Exhibition is organised annually by Midlothian Council's Arts and Creativity Team and is now into its 13th year. The art chosen alternates yearly between primary and secondary schools.
