We are using new technology to help local photographers create a permanent record of a once-in-a-lifetime experience – last week’s historic relay of the Olympic Torch through the county.
Our communications and marketing team created a dedicated Flickr group - and opened it up to the public so that any local resident with a free Flickr account can share their photos of the event with the whole community.
The group now has over 100 photos of the torch relay, many of which have been contributed by enthusiastic local photographers. It also includes dozens of photos taken by council staff on the day.
To share your photos, simply visit Flickr, create a free account if you haven't got one already, then join the group and submit your photos.
