We are appealing to the local community to take our 5 minute broadband survey.
The survey aims to identify demand and need for improved broadband provision across Midlothian.
Residents can take the survey by visiting www.midlothian.gov.uk/community-broadband-survey - you just need to take a quick speed test and let us know the results, along with your postcode. By combining the speed test results with local postcodes we'll be able to identify where the 'hot spots and not spots' are within the county.
The information gathered will help to develop a Midlothian broadband plan, and be used to identify priority areas for improvement and potential investment in broadband infrastructure. The evidence gathered will feed into the Scottish Government's Scotland's Digital Future initiative, which aims to reduce the digital divide and deliver a step change in everyone's ability to access quality internet by 2015.
