Midlothian Council has secured £520,000 from the Scottish Government's Universal Home Insulation Scheme.

If you are interested in applying for free installation you can book a free, no-obligation survey by contacting the Home Energy Scotland Hotline free on 0800 512 012.

The scheme, administered by local authorities, offers a range of free home insulation measures including loft and cavity wall insulation.  These measures can help households improve their energy efficiency, keep heating bills down and reduce fuel poverty.

Kevin Anderson, Midlothian Council Head of Housing and Community Safety, said: "We're encouraging residents to contact the hotline as soon so they can to make the most of the available funding."
