The first is to become a quantity surveyor and the second is in construction management. Jeff Thornton, from BAM Construction, has already been along to explain the opportunity further at a parents' evening at the school.
A total of six pupils will be interviewed for the two places on 4 July.
Cabinet member for education, Councillor Lisa Beattie said the scheme is a fantastic opportunity for local pupils.
She said: "It's great that in the current economic climate two very lucky pupils will get the chance to be supported in this way. Not only will we all have the chance to look forward to a new community hub and high school, but these pupils will also look forward to a great career."
Among the 59 or so workers from the Lothians working on site are Ross Gunning, chainperson, project engineer Thomas Peters from Bonnyrigg and senior site manager Gary Brown.
