There's only a few days left to book your place on Midlothian Council's fifth Midlothian Walking Festival.

Bookings close on Friday 3 August for the event which runs from Friday 10 to Monday 13 August 2012.
The council offers a series of free guided walks, a cycle and a horse trail, taking in every corner of the county. All events are led by a knowledgeable and experienced local guide.
Excursions offer a fascinating insight into Midlothian's varied wildlife and rich cultural heritage. Routes take in landscapes as varied as the upland areas of the Pentland Hill and Moorfoots, the picturesque Esk Valleys, wooded glens and countryside estates.
