Introduction

This course is aimed at key individuals with event management responsibilities for internal and public events.
Course details
The course will give you the necessary knowledge, confidence and skills to manage the safety aspects of coordinating an event. The course details the content of the Health and Safety Executive events publication: ‘Managing events safely’. The course covers:
- Legal requirements;
- Planning the event;
- Assessing the risk;
- Crowd management;
- Producing an event plan;
- Emergency procedures, including fire safety.
The course includes handouts and a number of practical exercises.
On successful completion

You will be awarded an attendance certificate.
