Snowsports - Junior Ski Courses

ALL attendees require to be self sufficient in putting on/ removing their own equipment.
Children should be able to match their inside ski earlier in the turn (before/ at the fall line). They should also be able to ski in control from the second red path and use poles.
Children should be able to steer their skis around an arc in a basic parallel position from the middle station (first red path). They should also be able to demonstrate a hockey stop and be able to ski down from the top (face) in control.
Children should be able to execute basic parallel turns with a pole plant from the second red path. They should also be able to ski down from the top (face) in control in parallel.
There will be emphasis on skiing on the steep section of the slope; children should be able to ski down from the top in control (face) in parallel with a pole plant.
This course is intended for those that have level 7 and are wondering where to go next. Children will be given a flavour of different ways they can diversify their skills giving them insight into the world of race training and freestyle. The instructor will formulate the course to suit the group and will work at a variety of themes including carving, freestyle, steeps, race techniques and short radius turns.
