Community Planning in Midlothian

Our Community Planning Partnership

Community Planning is a way of working together to best use all of available resources to improve people’s lives. It is governed by the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.

Key organisations, both statutory and third sector, work with communities to plan services that will deliver better outcomes for people. A Community Planning Partnership (CPP) is the name given to all those services that come together.

Our CPP's aim is:

  • to involve people in the decisions on public services that affect them
  • and have a commitment from organisations to work together for better public services.

Our Community Planning Partnership priorities

  • Individuals and communities have improved health and skills for learning, life, and work.
