Woodburn Primary School update 2 September

The letter below has been sent to parents and carers today (2 September)  from the head teacher to confirm Woodburn Primary School is not closing because of coronavirus cases.

Dear Parent/Carer

I have been informed of a rumour circulating that Woodburn is going to close due to COVID.

We have a relatively small number of cases and are monitoring any clusters along with Midlothian Council and health partners.

At the current time the school is not closing and moving to Remote Learning although this remains a contingency as it has done throughout the last 18 months.

If your child’s year stage has had positive case, you will have received a ‘Warn and Inform’ letter. Any other notifications will come directly from the school.

Kind regards

Joanna Findlay
Head Teacher
