Help improve services for British Sign Language users
Members of the deaf community and their families are invited to attend a series of public events aimed at improving services for BSL users across the Lothians region.
Joint events
The events are hosted by a partnership including NHS Lothian, Midlothian Council, West Lothian Council and East Lothian Council.
Removing barriers
They reflect an ongoing commitment to engage with the deaf community, learn from lived experiences, and work together to remove barriers to accessing services and support.
Contribute to lasting change
Each event offers deaf people a chance to find out about the BSL plans to improve access in their local area, share concerns and contribute ideas for positive and lasting change.
Your opinion matters
We want to know what is working, what is not, and what we can do better. Your opinion matters, and we encourage you to come along and help shape the future of services for BSL users.
Interpreters will be on hand
BSL interpreters will provide communication support throughout the events, including presentations and group discussions. There will also be time for networking.
