Residents invited to shape Midlothian’s future at community events
People who live or work in Midlothian are being invited to help shape the area’s future by taking part in a series of community events this June.
How can we improve your life?
The sessions are part of the development of the Single Midlothian Plan 2027–2030, which will set shared priorities for improving the lives of local people.
Bringing together communities and our partners
Organised by the Midlothian Community Planning Partnership, the meetings will bring together communities and partners from across the public, voluntary and private sectors.
For anyone aged 11 (accompanied) and over
Anyone aged 11 or over is encouraged to attend and share their views on what matters most in their community and how Midlothian can continue to be “a great, green place to grow.”
Highlight local priorities
Organisers say the sessions are a valuable opportunity for residents to influence decisions, highlight local priorities and help shape services for the future.

Help create a better Midlothian
Leader of Midlothian Council, Councillor Kelly Parry, said: “These events are a fantastic opportunity for people across Midlothian to have their say and help shape the future of their communities. The views we hear will directly inform our priorities for the years ahead, so I would encourage everyone to come along, share their ideas and be part of creating a better Midlothian for all.”
