Visual impairments
We provide a range of services for people with a visual impairment. These services are normally available to people who have sight loss that cannot be helped by optical correction and whose impairment causes difficulty with independent living.

Assessment
We can provide an assessment and agree a support plan with you and you family and carers. this might include ongoing support and counselling, specialist advice, help with daily living and communication, training programmes including mobility training and rehabilitation services.
Registration
We can assist you to become registered as partially sighted or blind. This will allow you to access other services for people who are blind or partially sighted.

Vision Support Centre
There is an assessment, information and advice centre based at the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion in Edinburgh. They can provide advice, support and information and will make contact with people who have been registered as partially sighted or blind.
