The people of Eskbank and Newbattle are being encouraged to find out more about how they can shape the future of their local area.
Residents and businesses are invited to neighbourhood planning workshop run by the Community Planning Partnership at 7pm on Tuesday 19 June at Kirkbank Centre, Newbattle Church.
The event will look at how people can be involved in planning for their community and the benefits of creating a neighbourhood plan. Developing a neighbourhood plan has four stages: establishing a steering group; consulting on the issues and making the most of local strengths, for example parks and buildings; producing an action plan with partner; and then implementing that action plan.
