Bus shelters

The Council provides street furniture such as bus stops and shelters throughout Midlothian.

No-smoking shelters

Some enclosed types of bus shelter are designated non-smoking under Scottish legislation. Those that are so designated will be marked by "No Smoking" signs on the shelter.

To report smoking in a non-smoking shelter contact the Public Transport Officer at the Midlothian Travel Team.

Report damage to a bus shelter

Regular checks are made on all street furniture and repair, maintenance or extra cleaning arranged as needed. However, it may be some time before a certain shelter is due to be checked again, and if you find a shelter that is damaged by vandalism, grafitti etc, then please report it to the Public Transport Officer at the Midlothian Travel Team.
