Aligning the school day
What the changes would mean for each school
The table shows the current and proposed start and end times for each school.
Start and finish time changes are minimal, with some schools having no changes or plus/minus ten minutes.
Friday is the exception for three schools, Dalkeith High School, Newbattle Community High School and St David's RC High School. Their school day would be 50 minutes shorter to ensure all secondary school have the same length of 'student week', 1,600 minutes.
