Early years and childcare partnership

We promote the development of high quality, affordable and accessible early education and childcare opportunities in Midlothian, in line with parental demand.

We also manage the Childcare Information Service (ChIS) that provides information on all areas of childcare and pre-school education.

Aims

• To ensure that all sectors of the community can access childcare provision
• To co-ordinate the provision of nearly 4000 childcare places for children up the the age of 14
• To support the training and development of the childcare workforce
