The project revamping Dalkeith's historic High Street is on course to finish in July.

Half way through the project, most of the new whinstone kerbs are now in place and large sections of Yorkstone paving have been laid.

Councillor Russell Imrie, Cabinet Member for planning and development, says: "It is exciting to see the new and improved High Street coming together.

"I am really looking forward to seeing the end product. In the meantime, it is business as usual for the car parks and shops in the area."
