Many thanks for giving your views on the buildings we intend to use as polling places in future elections.

Summary

In particular, we want to minimise the number of schools we use as polling places to avoid them being closed to pupils and staff on election days. Our aim would be, therefore, to keep schools on the proposed lists open and make a separate entrance available to voters.

The consultation is now closed.
You told us what you think of our proposals. They include five new venues, among them Edinburgh College's Midlothian campus, St John's and King's Park Church in Dalkeith and Dalkeith Miners Club.
How to get involved

All responses will be included in a report to the full Council on Tuesday 17 December 2019 for consideration before councillors make a final decision on locations of polling places.
