There are currently seven polling places and 13 polling stations in Midlothian East.
As at July 2019, the total electorate is 12,040, 9,682 of whom vote at a polling station while 2,358 have a postal vote.

Proposed polling places and stations
The proposals are for five polling places and 12 polling stations. Our aim would be to keep schools on the proposed list open and to make a separate entrance available in schools for voters.
