There are currently seven polling places and 14 polling stations in Midlothian West.
As at July 2019, the total electorate is 12,509, 10,241 of whom vote at a polling station while 2,268 have a postal vote.

The proposals are for six polling places and 13 polling stations. Our aim would be to keep schools on the proposed list open and to make a separate entrance available in schools for voters.
