Volunteer Passenger Assistants

Broomhill Day Centre are looking to recruit 2 volunteer Passenger Assistants, one for a Friday and one for a Monday. 

Duties

• assisting our driver to safely transport members to and from the day centre
• hand sanitising members
• taking temperatures
• fastening seat belts
• generally making sure members are safe and comfortable. 

This isn’t regulated work so doesn’t require PVG Scheme membership, but volunteers would require a Disclosure Scotland background check. 

Hours are split shifts

• 10am to 11:15am
• then 2:30pm to 3:30pm.

This is a weekly regular Monday or Friday commitment. 

Would suit someone who is retired and able to commit, as continuity and familiarity is key to building trusting relationships with our elderly members.
