Waste service updates
Update on Friday 16 January
Apologies as we have not been able to empty all food bins and some glass from Monday onwards. Please take them back in and present again on your next scheduled collection day.
For blue and grey bins that we were not able to collect yesterday (Thursday), please leave these out as we will catch up today and tomorrow.
Many thanks for your patience.
Update on Thursday 15 January
Apologies as we have not been able to empty all food bins and some glass from Monday onwards. Please take them back in and put them back out again on your normal collection day next week. If we missed your blue or grey bin today, leave it out and we'll come back for it on Friday or Saturday. Many thanks for your patience.
Changes to your kerbside recycling collection services from March 2026
From March 2026 we are changing how we collect your recycling:
- You will have a NEW green bin for paper, card and cardboard.
- Your blue bin will only be for plastic bottles, tubs and trays, steel and aluminium cans, and cartons.
- There may be a change to the day we collect your blue, green and grey bins. These will be emptied on a three-weekly cycle.
Delivery of your new Green bin
- Green bins will be delivered between mid-January and the end of February 2026.
- Green bins will be delivered to the boundary of residential properties. In the case of an assisted pullout service, bins will be delivered directly to where they are stored.
- You will receive a letter notifying you of the change of service. If your collection day changes, we will let you know.
- For some properties, alternative shared recycling facilities will be provided, and you will be contacted separately regarding these.
- Existing communal recycling bins will be converted to collect either paper and card or plastics, cans and cartons.
