Paper recycling banks

From April 2017 paper banks in Midlothian will be removed. Less paper being collected and more contamination means it is no longer viable for our contractor to offer this service.

All clean and dry paper, card and cardboard can be recycled in your blue bin or local Household Waste Recycling Centre.

Shredded paper should be securely tied in a clear plastic bag before being placed in your blue bin.

Kerbside collections

In bad weather, or other situations outside our control, there may be a delay in collecting your waste.

Today all bin collections are running as normal.

Penicuik Recycling Centre

Until further notice, Penicuik Recycling Centre will not open until 10am.

The waste compactor at Penicuik Recycling Centre is out of action. Please take mattresses and large soft furniture, such as a sofa or three piece suite, to Stobhill Recycling Centre instead. We apologise for any inconvenience.
