Planning fees

All fees related to planning applications, pre-application advice, retrospective applications etc can be found in our Planning Fees Charter.

Ways to pay

• Cheque – make cheques payable to ‘Midlothian Council’ and write the application reference number or site address and ‘planning application’ or ‘pre-application enquiry’ on the back of the cheque.
• Card – call 0131 271 3147 on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday. You will need the planning application reference number and the site address. 
• BACS - Sort code: 83-17-26, Account number: 00128568. Once a payment is made email revenues.cash.collection@midlothian.gov.uk and dutyplanningofficer@midlothian.gov.uk with the planning application reference number, cash amount and the customer/company name.
