- Tuesday 14 November from 6.30pm-8pm: Meet the Parkie Poet, Graham Thomson. Graham says" life is full of twists and turns; my life changed in 2015 when I received my diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease. Life has since thrown up many challenges but the silver lining is life is slower so I get to spend more time enjoying my greatest passion: writing. I always have pen and pad with me just in case". Come along and meet local man Graham discussing his life’s journey and collection of poems from his first published books, What If.
- Wednesday 15 November from 6.30pm-8pm: Meet the author, Rhona Morrison. Join Dr. Rhona Morrison as she discusses her book I Don’t Talk to Dead Bodies, which shines a powerful, and surprisingly moving spotlight on the fascinating life of a forensic psychiatrist and the people she works with. It goes beyond the sensationalist headlines to show you just what happens in a world where mental illness can make good people do bad things. Warnings: the talk will contain discussion of mental illness and criminal behaviour. The event is recommended for over 18s only.
