Class for 8 - 17 year olds to learn and progress through our graded levels while making friends.

Prices

Prices include instruction, snowboard, helmets, boots, kneepads and use of uplift.

If your child has had lessons here already contact reception to obtain your child's Member ID. You can use this to link your child(ren) to your account and complete the booking smoothly.  

The levels

Beginner 

Basics of technique. Control of speed and direction. Side slipping and diagonal side slipping
Safe use of uplift – tow and chairlift when available
Level 1: Heel and tow edge side slip from green path/full length of nursery slope
Level 2: Diagonal side slip on heel and tow edge from first red path

When booked into a beginner class, should the first date be missed for any reason, the other dates in the block cannot be attended.

Intermediate - able to use the tow to the middle station and perform diagonal side slip on both toe and heel edge.

Introduction and development of turning. Garlands on both heel and toe edges. Improve steering skills. Introduction to basic turns. Controlled descent from the top
Level 3: Garlands on heel and tow edge, controlled descent from second red path.
Level 4: Basic turns on lower slopes, controlled descent from the top (face).
Level 5: Controlled basic turns from first red path.

Advanced - able to turn from the first red path and ride in control from the top station.

Linking turns together. Turns on steeper terrain. Short radius and long radius turns.
Level 6: Link turns together and vary the radius of the turn
Level 7: Turn on all terrain.  Switch turns.  Introduction to performance riding (freestyle, carving, racing, steeps)
