Pay a parking ticket

Pay parking ticket online

You will need:

  • the parking ticket number (starts with the letters MC)
  • your vehicle registration
  • a credit or debit card

Our parking attendants record the time, date and location of the fine. They take photos of the vehicle, signs and road markings. You can view these photographs before you pay. Parking attendants can not take payment.

Car parking fines are non-refundable once paid.

Pay by phone or post

By phone (24hr)

Pay by debit or credit card.

Calls are charged at a local rate.

By post

Send a cheque or postal order, payable to Midlothian Council, to:

Write the parking ticket number on the back of the cheque or postal order. Do not send cash.

Leave time for your payment to reach us. Items may be lost or delayed by post.

If you would like a receipt enclose a stamped addressed envelope.

Lost ticket

If you lose your ticket, email midlothianparking@midlothian.gov.uk to get your parking ticket reference number. Please quote your:

  • vehicle registration number
  • name
  • address
  • the date you think you received the ticket.

Challenge your parking ticket

If you think you have been issued a ticket in error, you can challenge your parking ticket.
