Home schooling
Parents of a child attending a Midlothian school, unless otherwise exempt (section 3.8 of Scottish Government guidance) need to send an outline of their proposed education provision along with a letter or email requesting to remove their child from the school roll.

Flexi schooling
The first stages of applying for a flexi-schooling arrangement will involve a discussion with the head teacher. If they feel it is a feasible option, then they will agree to submit the application form to the education decision-making panel.
The education decision-making panel will hold responsibility for making the final decision.
