The parentsportal.scot online service is being rolled out across all Midlothian schools so that parents and carers can communicate directly with their child's school at a time convenient to them.

Using the portal

Use parentsportal.scot for:

  • Creating a link to your child’s information  
  • Completing the annual data check  
  • Updating contact details throughout the year 
  • Reporting a pupil’s absence 
  • Viewing your child’s attendance 
  • Viewing class timetables for secondary schools 
  • Viewing your child’s report card (where schools use SEEMiS Progress and Achievement and Tracking & Monitoring) 
  • Applying for a Young Persons’ Free Bus Travel P1-P7 
  • Being notified of trips and events  
  • Filling in permission slips 
  • Linking to Parent Pay to make online school payments
