Pipes and Drums Project
Midlothian Instrumental Music Service in partnership with the Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming is running two music tuition projects for the school term 2025/26.
Pipes and Drums - available to all Midlothian pupils P6 to S6
Midlothian Instrumental Music Service in partnership with the Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming will be relaunching their Pipes and Drums Project on Tuesday evenings at the beginning of October.
The project is free to attend. All instruments are provided free of charge, initially this will be drum pads and chanters until the pupils are able to progress to bagpipes and drums.
Pipes and Drums - for pupils from P5 to S6 in Lasswade cluster schools only
This project will give pupils an opportunity to learn within school and to be part of a Midlothian wide after-school project on Tuesday evenings too. Tuition is free of charge and instruments are provided.
Information Meeting and How to Register:
If you are interested in either or both projects, please come along to one of our two Parents Information Meetings:
- 7pm, Tuesday 23 September at Lasswade High School
- 7pm, Tuesday 30 September at Lasswade High School
These meetings will provide more information about the project, including how to enrol your child. There will also be a chance to meet the tutors too.
