We are delighted to announce that Midlothian Council’s Learning and Development provision was recently inspected. The report, published today, has rated this provision as ‘very good’ across all indicators: improvements in performance, impact on the local community, delivering the learning offer with learners and leadership and direction.
It helps communities flourish
Learning and Development activities help local people build skills for learning, life and work. They also support community development helping communities to flourish.

Councillor Bob Constable, the cabinet member for education, congratulated staff, young people, parents, learners, volunteers, community members and the third sector including religious organisations. He said: “This inspection is a ringing endorsement of the fantastic partnership work that goes on to improve the lives of local people and help them achieve positive outcomes.
