Reminder of Stobhill masterplanning event on 15 June

Tell us what you think about Stobhill

We are reminding local people to come along and have your say on an initial masterplan for the potential redevelopment of the Stobhill Depot and part of the Lady Victoria Business Centre in Newtongrange.

The event is on 15 June

Residents can drop in to the public event at the National Mining Museum Scotland on Thursday 15 June anytime between 14:00 and 20:00.

Come and hear more about the benefits of a masterplan

Commissioned by Midlothian Council and Borders Railway Blueprint Partnership, the design team of Smith Scott Mullan will be on hand to chat about the benefits the masterplan could bring to the area.

A spokesman for Midlothian Council said: “Communities will be consulted to make sure the masterplan takes into account local opinions and ideas. We all share the same goal and that’s to eventually have a masterplan that will help ensure a thriving, attractive neighbourhood and successful businesses.

We want to capture a wide range of views

We’d urge as many local people as possible to drop in and tell us what they think so we can capture as wide a range of views as possible.”
