Biodiversity
Nature friendly development
The Nature Conservation Planning Guidance (adopted April 2021) (PDF) provides information for developers and others on nature-friendly development:
- designated wildlife sites
- wildlife law including protected species and invasive species
- how Local Biodiversity Sites are designated
- helpful contact information.
It also contains information on ecological assessment and mitigation. The Council expects applicants to consider habitats and wildlife, from initial site appraisal to post construction.
